Sorry to those who actually are waiting for me to release this thing I just get sidetracked alot,

once I have made more time for myself and not getting screwed around by the government out

of money then I shall release and be rather happy about it :)

There are some other projects that I may like to work on after this is released mainly a photo/art gallery
as there is a site I've meaning to fix and add certain ways to purchase merchandise within the photo gallery

as it uses gallery2 it's a real pain.... things are cached go figure lol ;)

Second project after that is a free dating site and I mean free, where peeps can message each other and search for profiles etc yadda yada ya.... should be real fun to make still thinking up a name so if you have any ideas holler me up via irc :)

Yea so as you can see I've edited my own site to have it's own theme :)

Which in turn shows you that I really am trying to go for gold on this content management system

I now have spare time to make lots of changes here and there all I need to do now is make the installer

this then will allow me to release, and then see what other people want out of acid flux as an content mangement

system :)

Strangely enough I've noticed a flaw in the css layout within acidflux if you look in the top right part of this page you'll notice that not only is the border color missing from the the right and the bottom but it's also jump over by a pixel I will need to resolve this or I may just use a different framework one that doesn't mind me using it to color the page :)

As I have only been mainly focused on the actual program code and not how the finished product looks it's a main thing for me to get things the way I want them... before I am for a release...

And I have been thinking should I give it a rest and start working on a shopping cart like acid cart ? which would help potential clients have their own shop with lots more flexibility to stylize :)

After that it's fun times with a dating site/profile site I just think theres certain parts that people leave out, as I'm very secretive about these things I will not disclose my ideas to the public until I've finished them ;)

That way business ideas don't get sold down the line ;)

For some strange annoying reason, the typography still looks screwy

until I fix this I will not be happy to release it :( but I am thinking of making a twitter account related to acidflux for latest news and maybe a facebook page... this will mean I will have to setup again but oh well atleast I don't have hoards of friends trying to send me crap :)

I will mainly use it as a tool to demostrate what I can do.

In the works next is to have a shop maybe with a payment gateway of

paypal or moneybookers, all I know is it's a very simple thing to do but it

all needs to look good.

Also on a side not I need to make sure of the css is valid as I noticed since using cakephp it screws with the css in such a way that it makes it hard to use :(

Well I'm proud to say that with a little more

of adjustments that I will be so happy to release my code

onto the interwebs it's alot more cleaner slicker with using

blueprint as a framework it basically cleans the typography

up to making it look very clean and happy there are just a

few bugs that I won't resolve until I reach the later

in development but what I have infront of me is a fully

working cms the only thing I feel needs work on that lets

it down is the search function not being have to see which

bits of text it found the search results in... but with a bit of

time and effort I'm sure that I can fix this :)

I've noticed a few problems with date and time but are fixed very easily :) and just need an admin dasboard to make it alot easier to edit various parts of the site without messing about too much :)

The Login is done but then again there are some parts that I will add

to later versions if I have the time :D

I'm almost finished with acidflux cms, all I need to do is make a search function on it and the admin panel which probably will take

a few minutes to knock up although it is a royal pain in the bum to

make search parameters that listen to what you want them to do.

And as I already have most of it done in the non-mvc one that I managed to pull together I don't think I even wrote up about changing to cakephp which is a mvc it allows for making code come together very easily the only downside to this is I know this isn't going to be a permanent thing I will probably start to make my own mvc to house acidflux and use cakephp as a... well framework :)

this then will then allow me to more or less nab the functionality that I can see in my head and just splice it together so yes in 0.1

there was cake and those who have played portal know what I mean :D

Well I'm not really I just need to know which to do first either, the design or the php code it's crazy... I used to have a clue once how to lay things out but css really is a pain in the ass to play with... I was looking into smarty as it does some quirky magic and seperates the code from the css so that designers and coders can work without destroying parts of the code... but learning their language is like learning a sodding framework again :(

Yea I've only just noticed that there isn't a title being displayed on each post on here bit weird any-who I've been making fast progress with AcidFlux Cms I can predict that the code will be released sometime about 1-2 months if all goes well... Only got a few issues with making themes, but I'm sure to resolve it pretty quickly... And soon this site might change to it, which will also keep me on the ball for updating it :) I've added the map of things needed to do I will also be updating issues frequently on google code So once the code is release I don't mind anyone testing it out and telling me I've broken stuff.... Feedback is great =/

I haven't made any changes for a long long time, this has been during the move and currently having no job. I promise once I have the funds I will try my best to learn some languages and focus and actually publish stuff I have been meaning to put eddland cms onto google code even if it is a little dodgy here and there atleast it will give someone a basis to learn some php and the benefits of using it :)

Yea basically I'm quite confident on the progress I've made with gentoo/sabayon learning the ins and outs and watch the screen fill with lovely text telling me what's going on each time I compile a package it's kinda cool. This then led me to think well I as much as I love of these distros or linux itself I still wish there was certain things I could do to speed up my time e.g scripts on the nautilus and some eye candy on file roller I believe on their testing or svn they have certain things like Extract progress and telling you what's going on rather than just a bar that bounces backwards and forwards... Makes you feel like your going back in time not forwards... Anyways the point I was trying to make is if I ever get round to working on my own linux distro I believe Gentoo to be my operating system of choice of course windoze installed for stupid apps as steam is on it's way to linux :D

I figure I spend way too much time on irc or halo 3 to actually get anything done so i've abandoned some projects I may just upload the source code for people to play with it's very messy and probably very [color=green]exploitable[/color] so bear that in mind... Other things that I'm currently trying to get done is the irc client weather it be in c++ I have no clue anymore it just seems to be a maze of pain. Another idea sprung to mind but then fizzed away would to possibly make a plugin for asterisk to support sms like messaging so if you have a portable device you can send a message to friends it waits in the server for their arrival then they recieve it I guess they could always forward it to a proper sms carrier if they have lots of moneys :) just thinking it would be a proof of concept idea and no money to be made out of it just a little toy the way of recieving messages would be a java app for mobiles as I'm way too lazy to even comprehend coding a program for different symbian type tech. And if you are thinking wait why don't i use msn then :mad: then your a waster as I don't intend of making this project stable.
